After review, DQs in Factory Fours class
will stand
SAN BERNARDINO (April 27, 2007) –
Orange Show Speedway officials this week have conducted a lengthy review
of the circumstances surrounding the disqualifications of three Aflac
Factory Fours drivers for rules infractions found during tech inspection
following Saturday night’s main event and there will be no changes
in the results.
On Friday, Director of Motorsports Joe Ganino Jr.
issued the following statement:
“The decisions made on Saturday night
were correct and track management stands behind those decisions. The
rule stipulating 3 degrees plus or minus of tolerance on camber settings
has been in place since the 2006 season. It has not and will not be
changed, and the disqualifications will stand.”
Ganino also said that in the interest of reaching
an equitable solution to this problem an amendment to that section of
the rules will be issued next week.
The BSR West Late Models, Lucas Oil Outlaw Figure
8’s, ASA Stock Ponys, Street Stock and Leno’s Rico Taco
Legends Cars are on Saturday’s (April 28) schedule, at 6:30 p.m.
The next race for the Aflac Factory Fours is Saturday, May 5.
