Orange Show Speedway places two Super Late
Model drivers on probation
SAN BERNARDINO (May 22, 2007) –
Rickey McCray and Tony Barnes, two drivers in the Hype Manufacturing
Super Late Model division at Orange Show Speedway, have been placed
on probation for an incident in the pit area on Saturday, May19.
Barnes, 41, who drives the No. 6 Chevrolet Monte
Carlo, and McCray, 28, who drives the No. 98 Chevrolet, both have been
placed on probation for three months, beginning May 19, for violating
rule 6-1.3.
The rule, part of the section governing Conduct at
Events, states that Orange Show Speedway “will not tolerate profanity,
discourteous gestures or behavior deemed detrimental to the betterment
of the sport,” and includes a prescribed list of penalties ranging
from a fine to a lifetime suspension. In this case, however, no fines
or suspensions were levied.
Barnes and McCray will be on probation through Aug.
19, a span of time that includes six Super Late Model races.
