Holiday Cheer, Banquet info and driver information all a part of OSS ‘Shows’ its holiday spirit

SAN BERNARDINO , CA (Dec. 12, 2007) – Joe Ganino, and the staff and Orange Show Speedway want to make sure that nobody accuses them of sitting on their “laurels” this holiday season.

Last Friday, Joe and members of the OSS team attended a fund raiser in City of Industry with Fox 11’s Rick Lozano raising money for Toys for Tots. During the event, Mr. Ganino presented Rick Lozano and check for $1500.00 on behalf of everyone at Orange Show Speedway. This donation is in conjunction with the ‘Toys for Tots 100’ race run on November 17th with the BSR West Late Model division.

“With thanks to everyone, we were able to provide this opportunity to raise much needed funds as well as awareness to make sure every child has something special this holiday season.”

Mr. Ganino remarked and later commented that with the addition of the ‘Town Hall’ to help local community groups help promote themselves and their efforts (bake sales, fundraisers, etc.), partnering local charities on race nights is the track’s way to support the community by working together;

“The Toys for Tots 100 and NOS Foundation 100 that we ran in 2007 is just the beginning. We have made it a goal to provide feature events for all our great divisions and look forward to bringing in additional charities to assist in bringing awareness and funds to those agencies within our communities and those of our fans and drivers.”

Details were made available today for the 2007 Orange Show Speedway awards banquet that will be held at the NOS Sports Center on Saturday, January 26th. Ticket prices are $35 dollars. Invitations are being mailed out this week, but attendees can also get a reservation form off the website at www.nosevents.com. The festive event will not only crown our 2007 OSS Champions, but will include ceremonies for Stock Car USA as well as the Lucas Oil ASA Modifieds. The NOS Sports Center has been primarily utilized as an Off-Track Wagering facility, but the rear amphitheater has been in development for multi purpose use and has most recently played host to business meetings as well as an off-site World Series Party for season ticket holders of the Inland Empire Sixty Sixers Minor League Baseball Team.

The 2007 Champions from Orange Show Speedway will once again celebrate their handprints being immortalized in concrete at the speedway just prior to the banquet later that evening.

“We hope this tradition will always continue. Who knows, maybe one of these hand prints will be another Ron Hornaday Jr., who’ve raced here and gone on to become champions at stock car’s highest levels.”

OSS Race Director Gary Stockman continues to open up lines of communications with drivers, owners and teams with the announcement of a direct email address for individuals with race-related questions. People are being advised that they can email him directly at OSSRaceDirector@aol.com with any questions or suggestions. When asked, Mr. Stockman gave this reason for the additional email address.

“Our team is doing everything we can to be able to promptly answer all our driver’s and owner's questions during the off season and once it gets underway. Hopefully it will be able to save them time, money and effort which will keep them racing throughout the season.”

Drivers, Racers and Fans are encouraged to keep abreast will all the updates and exciting news during the off season by checking out www.nosevents.com and keep an eye on the speedway page for more information.
